Education

I earned my PhD in Computer Science at the University of Kansas in July 2011, and earned my master's degree there in 2007. I earned my bachelor's degree in computer science at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2004 with a minor in Mathematics.

My Career

I am a Term Professor and an Associate Chair in the Computer Science department here at George Mason University. I enjoy teaching introductory programming (CS 1), object oriented programming, introductory systems materials, and comparative programming content.

Research Interests

I am interested in CS education; I also worked on programming languages and type theory for my doctorate and continue to enjoy that, if not as actively as I did during graduate school.
